TruePrice ("we", "our", or "us") provides a crowdsourced real estate price tracking browser extension and web platform hosted at https://extensions.xlabs.au/TruePrice. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle data when you use the TruePrice Chrome Extension or Web Application.

2. Information We Collect

TruePrice is designed with privacy-first principles. We collect minimal public data necessary to provide property price transparency:

Public Real Estate Listing Data: When you visit a supported property portal (such as Realestate.com.au or Domain.com.au), TruePrice parses public property IDs, addresses, and listed initial price guides to record baseline campaign data.
Crowdsourced Sold Figures & Notes: If you voluntarily submit an actual sold figure or community note, we store the property ID, submitted figure, and note text on our secure database.
Local Browser Preferences: User interface state (such as widget screen coordinates and minimized status) is stored locally on your device via chrome.storage.local and sessionStorage.

3. What We DO NOT Collect

No Personally Identifiable Information (PII): We do NOT collect your name, email address, phone number, IP address tracking, or account credentials.
No General Browsing History: TruePrice operates strictly on active real estate listing URLs. It never accesses or records your web activity on non-property websites.
No Financial Data: We do NOT collect bank details, mortgage applications, or financial history.

4. How Information Is Used

The collected public property data is used solely to:

Calculate real-time campaign price drift (% change between initial price guides and sold figures).
Provide buyers and investor agents with historical price transparency across Australian property campaigns.
Display community feedback and auction notes on listing pages.

5. Data Sharing & Third-Party Sale

We do NOT sell, rent, trade, or monetize user data or crowdsourced listing data to third-party data brokers, advertising networks, or marketers. All crowdsourced property price data is aggregated strictly for public real estate price intelligence.

6. Security & Storage

All data transmitted between the TruePrice extension and our API backend uses encrypted HTTPS protocol. Local extension preferences are stored securely within your browser's isolated extension storage sandbox.

7. User Choices & Data Rights

You may uninstall the TruePrice Chrome Extension at any time via chrome://extensions. Uninstalling the extension automatically removes all local storage data associated with the extension from your device.
